Rebecca (Becky) Roberts is President of Chevron Pipe Line Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chevron Corp. In this capacity, she is responsible for transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, chemicals, natural gas and natural gas liquids. Chevron Pipe Line Company provides technical, commercial, operational, and project management support to Chevron’s pipeline projects around the world. A native of Lake Charles, LA, Roberts earned a degree in chemistry from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, in 1973. Roberts began her career with Texaco in 1974 as a chemist in the Henry Gas Processing Plant and later moved through several positions in upstream technology. She joined Texaco Natural Gas in 1990 where she held management positions in operations, marketing, and business development. Roberts was assigned to Texaco’s executive department in 1997 where she worked with the Sr. VP of Global Downstream and Corporate Human Resources. In 2000 Roberts held the position of Country Manager in Panama, responsible for the refining and marketing business. In October, 2001 she joined Worldwide Power & Gasification as Vice President Asset Management and in October, 2003, Roberts was appointed President of Global Power Generation, responsible for managing the existing portfolio of commercial power plants in the U.S., Asia, and Europe and identifying new growth business development opportunities for power generation worldwide. In addition to her responsibilities at Chevron Pipe Line Company, Roberts serves on the Board of Directors of Dress for Success Houston.

Mr. Tenley has been involved in energy pipeline matters since 1989, and has led Pipeline Research Council International since 1999. For 55 years, PRCI has been the leading collaborative research development program of the energy pipeline industry worldwide. During his tenure at PRCI the membership has grown from 23 predominantly gas transmission pipeline member companies to 37 companies, including 11 oil and petroleum products pipelines. In addition, the membership now includes 14 associate members comprised of companies that manufacture equipment, and tools for the industry, as well as companies and organizations that provide support services essential to the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of energy pipelines. This diverse membership gives PRCI a presence on five continents. Prior to coming to PRCI, Mr. Tenley served for 10 years as a Senior Executive in the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he was Chief Counsel of the Research and Special Programs Administration. From 1990 – 1995, he headed the Department’s Office of Pipeline Safety. While in the Department, Mr. Tenley worked with the leadership of the pipeline industry to lay the foundation for the introduction of integrity management in the pipeline safety program. Mr. Tenley holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Mr. Felt has over thirty years experience in the energy industry with expertise from domestic projects to multi-billion dollar multinational undertakings. These projects cover the spectrum from exploration, production and other upstream ventures to transportation, distribution and downstream activities. He has extensive experience in integrated project management, international project development, engineering design, construction, start-up and operations of projects in the energy industry. Midstream Energy projects for which Mr. Felt is singularly qualified include design and construction of petroleum transportation systems, electric generation facility automated fuel systems, pipelines, terminals, underground storage, pumping stations, compressor stations, loading systems, design and custody transfer measurement systems for crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas. Mr. Felt is a published author, lecturer and guest speaker for professional associations and conferences. He is also accomplished in forensic engineering, expert witnessing and litigation support for complex technical cases. Universal Ensco, founded in 1961, is the largest Pipeline Engineering firm in North America. Universal has developed innovative technologies for completing projects and adding value to client businesses.

Mr. Baldwin has over 30 years experience in plant machinery diagnostics at Southwest Research Institute. Areas of theoretical and practical experience include rotordynamics, monitoring and diagnostics, foreign material ingestion, and flow-induced vibrations. For three years Mr. Baldwin led a Gas Machinery Research Council research task investigating ingestion of foreign materials into pipeline compressors, with particular emphasis on the problem of black powder (iron sulfide) formation, location, and identification. Presently he is leading a two-year study sponsored by PRCI to update knowledge on iron sulfide formation using chemical and biological testing of world-wide pipeline samples. Mr. Baldwin is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, with an Engineering Science degree and received an MSME from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.

The Urucu–Manaus pipeline will be 670 kilometres (420 mi) long natural gas pipeline in Brazil. It will allow use of the natural gas from Urucu, which is the largest ground natural gas reserve in Brazil. The gas will be used to substitute diesel and fuel oil currently used for the electricity production in the state of Amazonas. The pipeline is operated by Transportadora Urucu-Manaus S.A., a subsidiary of Petrobras. The pipeline consists three sections. The current liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pipeline from the production facility in Urucu to Coari will be switched to carrying natural gas, while parallel to this a new 285 kilometres (177 mi) long 10 inches (250 mm) LPG (GLPduto) pipeline will be constructed.[2] The second section connects Coari and Anamã and third section connects Anamã-Manaus.

Mr. Rau has over 35 years of experience in energy related businesses, primarily oil and gas production and natural gas transmission. He has been heavily involved in development of corrosion control and integrity management industry standards and have directed research activities for the pipeline industry. He has extensive experience both onshore and offshore in the corrosion control disciplines for both structural reliability and failure avoidance Throughout his career he have developed and implemented threat assessment and risk management programs. Currently Mr. Rau manage a multi disciplinary engineering staff of pipeline experts in codes compliance, corrosion control, pipeline technical services and data analysis / integration. Mr. Rau has chaired various committees of PRCI related to Corrosion, Integrity Management and In Line Inspection

Andrew is a Chartered Engineer with more than 20 years’ experience working with optical fibre in many sensing and telecommunications applications, in disciplines including R&D, manufacturing, applications and sales & marketing. Andrew has for the past 5 years held the role of Technology Manager for the Midstream Oil & Gas group within Schlumberger, the world’s largest Oilfield Services Company. During this time he has worked with the company’s range of distributed temperature sensors and their application to pipeline monitoring. In parallel, and working closely with one of the world’s largest Oil Exploration & Production operators, he has also managed the development of new optical fibre technologies from initial feasibility study to the creation and proving of the present Integriti range of pipeline condition monitoring products.

The Office of the Federal Coordinator for Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects (OFC) was established by Congress in 2004 to expedite and coordinate federal permitting and construction of a pipeline and enhance transparency and predictability of the federal regulatory system to deliver natural gas from the Arctic to American markets. Jon Major is Vice President of T.D. Williamson Inc. (TDW). TDW, privately held and in business for 90 years, is a market leader in pipeline intervention technology, products, and solutions. Jon has been with TDW for 8 years serving as Manager of Business Development, Manager of Pipeline Integrity Products and Services, Vice President of Western Hemisphere Operations and currently, Vice President of TDW’s global offshore services business unit. Jon has served the energy industry for nearly 30 years, 20 years of which with Texaco Inc. (acquired by Chevron in 2001), a worldwide integrated energy company. He held a variety of domestic and international onshore and offshore, project, business development, and operational leadership roles in Texaco’s upstream and midstream businesses. Jon, since joining TDW, has been instrumental in developing and executing TDW’s strategies for growth and the acquisition of pipeline technology firms over the past 8 years. Jon, originally from Rochester New York, earned his undergraduate degree in structural engineering from Michigan Technological University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. Jon is a registered professional engineer and is active on ASME’s International Offshore Pipeline Forum. Jon has two grown daughters, and resides in Houston, Texas.

Ray Burke is a chartered mechanical engineer with international oil company experience, mostly in the fields of structural design, subsea engineering, project management, pipeline engineering, and novel technology and materials development. Effective May 1, 2008; Burke was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for Pipestream, a technology company focused on creating new materials and construction methods for the pipeline industry. He held a position as a full-time University lecturer for a number of years. Burke has been elected as a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the highest class of elected membership of the governing body for the profession in the UK. He has held technical authority and executive roles in a number of Shell entities before joining Pipestream. As R&D manager at Shell Global Solutions he was responsible for the innovative X200 pipeline project and other onshore and offshore innovative technologies. Burke has a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering, and a master’s degree in Ocean and Subsea Engineering from University College London. He is a named inventor on 20+ patents and has undergone executive and technical training through the Shell Open University. He is married with two children and currently resides in Houston, Texas.

Mike Poland is the Director of Life Cycle Engineering’s Asset Management Services. A Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, (CMRP) Mike has over 25 years of engineering and maintenance experience. Mike specializes in reliability processes and systems engineering with an emphasis on defect detection and elimination through root cause analysis and risk based inspections. His approach to risk based asset management and the elimination of limiting factors for clients provides greatly enhanced asset utilization at a much lower total cost of ownership. Mike is also a facilitator with the Life Cycle Institute where he uses high impact learning techniques to teach courses including Asset Maintenance Plans and Predictive Maintenance Technologies. Prior to working with LCE, Mike worked for the Department of Defense as a Life Cycle Engineer and Defense Acquisition Professional for nuclear powered aircraft carriers. He also served as the Engineering and Maintenance Manager for the nuclear aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt where he managed a $200 million budget. Through his tenure as a U.S. Navy veteran in the Nuclear Power Program, Mike received his Nuclear Engineering degree.

Mr. Simonson has worked in the industrial filtration industry for the past 14 years and has developed and patented a series of environmentally friendly magnetic filtration systems. These filtration systems have application in all industry for hydraulic, lube, fuel, pneumatic, coolant, cutting fluids, water, food processing, powders, minerals and oil & gas erosion and corrosion management. Mr. Simonson also holds the position of the Chief Technical Officer and is responsible for developing new innovative filtration solutions. Andy Constantine is a Market Development Manager for Profile Products, LLC, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, USA. He has 16 years of experience in erosion and sediment control with an expertise in TRM and Geosynthetic applications. He has written several technical articles in industry trade publications on the use of TRM’s and applications. Constantine holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management from Washington State University. He is a past Board Member of the Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC) and a member of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA). Andy Constantine has been a volunteer instructor/active participant at erosion control workshops and events in multiple states for more than 10 years.
